Philips Emergency Lighting Qualifies for the Buy American Provisions of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA)

Dear Customer:

Thank you for your interest in Philips Emergency Lighting products.  On Feb. 16, 2010, the Department of Energy issued a Memorandum of Decision that provided a categorical waiver of the Buy American Provisions of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (“ARRA”) for fluorescent electronic lighting ballasts. 

We are pleased to let you know that all of Philips Emergency Lighting’s fluorescent emergency ballasts qualify for this waiver.  This waiver allows for the specification and usage of Philips Emergency Lighting’s fluorescent emergency ballasts on construction projects funded by the Department of Energy’s ARRA programs, regardless of the country of origin of the fluorescent emergency ballast. 

Specific Department of Energy ARRA programs that your town, city or state may be using to finance construction projects include the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant program and the State Energy Program.
