BSL10 Cold-Pak

When ambient conditions are less than perfect

Philips Emergency Lighting is pleased to introduce the Philips Bodine BSL10 Cold-Pak Emergency LED Driver, the solution for code-compliant emergency LED operation in cold-temperature environments.

The Philips Bodine BSL10 Cold-Pak unit operates in an extended-temperature range of -4 ° F to +131 ° F and delivers 10W of emergency output power (average). When normal power fails, the BSL10 senses the loss and immediately switches to emergency mode, supporting connected LEDs for a minimum of 90 minutes.

The BSL10 offers a number of benefits. Because the BSL10 is a Cold-Pak model, it is an ideal choice for use in parking garages, stairwells and other locations exposed to harsh conditions. The extended-temperature range gives the BSL10 a great deal of application flexibility. In addition to its extended-temperature benefit, the BSL10 provides an energy-saving feature: controlled power. Controlled power (average 10W emergency power across the entire output voltage range of 24-52 VDC) can reduce energy usage. As a 24-52 VDC unit, it is able to operate a variety of LED. The last benefit we’ll mention is ease of installation. The BSL10 comes with a two-wire test switch and is small and lightweight.

Applications
The BSL10 Cold-Pak operates in an extended temperature range of -4 ° F to +131 ° F. (-20 ° C to +55 ° C). Applications include cold storage facilities, parking garages, stairwells, outdoor canopies and exposed walkways leading to the public way along the path of egress.

Unlike fluorescent lighting, LED lighting is not negatively affected by low ambient temperatures. LED light output does not decline as the temperature drops.

Reliable warranty
The BSL10 Cold-Pak is warranted for five years from date of purchase. This warranty covers only properly installed Philips Bodine emergency LED drivers used under normal conditions.
